Throwing in the towel

There are the obvious things we can do for our skin to help make it look its best.

We exfoliate.

We moisturize.

We dermaplane.

We apply masques.

We use a variety of the latest technology out there to clear our complexions and help keep us looking young.

Have you ever considered what your towel is doing to your skin?

A repetitive motion that we do daily does leave consequences such as stripping skin of essential oils, leaving drying and irritated skin. The daily motion of wiping our face does add to skin sag and ageing. Rather than wiping your face, it is better to pat dry your face and absorb any moisture in this matter. It is easier on your skin as your skin isn’t pulled and strained repetitively, which does cause damage over time, but it's the kind of damage we can't immediately see.

Dirty towels can make your skin breakout. If they are carrying moisture on them, bacteria can build up and then cause skin irritations. It’s best to use a different towel for your face than the rest of your body. This prevents any bacteria from your body to spread to your face. If possible, change face towels daily, it truly does affect the skin.

After any kind of procedure you may undergo in our studio, ensure you are using a clean town as your skin heals, to prevent any infections on your face. Our tools are essentially poking small holes on your skin when you get your brows done or your lips. It is imperative they don’t infect from towel-related causes so throw in the towel and grab a new one daily, for your face.

Your Confidence is my Business,

Shannon
