NanoBlading 101

Last week we discussed microblading on our blog, (click here if you missed it!) and this week let’s talk about nanoblading and all that it is!

The trend and rage to have perfect, sculpted eye brows continues. Though both microblading and nanoblading deliver the same result, that is, semi-permanent makeup to shape and fill one’s eyebrows, nanoblading is the latest and more preferred approach.

Nano Brows/ Nano needling strokes are finer and more precise, resulting in more realistic looking hair strokes than what results in microblading. It is said by some to be less aggressive, less painful and a much cleaner process than microblading, (by cleaner we mean there is less bleeding, a reduced risk of scaring, a faster healing time and less flaking).

This procedure utilizes a digital cosmetic machine and a single super fine needle, depositing the pigment evenly and at the right depth for maximum color retention. As we are essentially tattooing your skin to create a look of eye brows, nanoneedling is the latest in semi-permanent eyebrow technology performe and which is ideal for all candidates, especially those who have had problems retaining pigment after microblading (Oily skin types/Clients outdoors often).

As is the case with microblading, before any tattooing is done, the shape and color of your brows is discussed at your consultation appointment with me. I will draw and edit your chosen shape on you until you confirm your approval, and then we begin! A numbing lotion can be applied if you prefer to minimize discomfort because there is some level of pain associated with the procedure. We wish we could say this was a pain-free procedure, but No Pain, No Gain, right?!

This procedure also takes about 1.5-2 hours, and you will walk out feeling more confident. There will be some redness, some swelling and after your follow-up consultation, watch your confidence soar even more! Treatment requires a perfecting session several weeks afterwards, but results can last up to 1-2 years before a full touch-up is required.

If you’d like to book in for a consultation to discuss nanoblading and if it’s right for you, feel free to get in touch!

Your Confidence is my Business,
