ADVANCED CHEMICAL  PEELS

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are one of the most effective treatments to address pre-mature aging, acne and acne scarring..

In our youth, skin cells naturally turn-over every 18 to 20 days resulting in a healthy, vibrant look. As we age this process slows down giving us a dull, chalky appearance. Chemical Peels stimulate cell turn-over to give back that radiant look we remember. Chemical Peels can significantly improve skin texture, reduce lines & wrinkles and aid in pigment correction.  Correctly formulated and applied, peels can be a powerful treatment to improve the overall health and appearance of your skin.

Chemical Peels are one of the most effective and affordable ways to turn back the hands of time.

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a cosmetic resurfacing procedure that improves skin quality, texture & appearance.

The procedure involves the application of a chemical solution to the skin to induce controlled trauma/injury to the skin layers. The subsequent “wound” healing process stimulates regeneration and the “injured” layers eventually shed revealing healthier more youthful skin.

When your skin needs more than just a little pick-me-up, a chemical peel may be just the solution you are looking for. I will perform a skin analysis and suggest a formulation specific to your complexion so that your skin gets exactly the type of peel it needs. Acne, wrinkles, dark spots, redness, uneven texture and tone can all be improved with a chemical peel, as it lifts away the top layer of skin along with any imperfections. Your complexion will look brighter, clearer and healthier, and you'll gain confidence with your fresh face.

FAQ's

Is a Chemical Peel right for me?

Whether you're dealing with problem skin or just want to get your glow back, a chemical peel can put your complexion back on track. However, there are differing levels of peels, and not every condition can be fully resolved with a chemical peel.  I will perform a thorough skin analysis and we will chat in-depth about your concerns and goals. From there, I will suggest the very best options/treatment plan for you.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of chemical peels you should have depends on the goals you are trying to achieve. For best results, peels should be done in a series, anywhere from three to six to start in conjunction with the proper home care regiment. Quarterly maintenance is also recommended to continue to reap the benefits of the series of treatments.

What should I expect after my Chemical Peel?

Some peels cause little to no discomfort and minimal flaking (if any). More aggressive peels such as Jessners & TCA will leave the skin reddened and tight, with peeling/shedding starting a few days later and lasting for up to a week. Once healed your skin will be glowing and healthy looking

Can Chemical Peels be combined with other treatments?

Clients often benefit from combining Chemical Peels with other anti-aging treatments. During your appointment, all options and the best treatment plan to achieve your desired results will be discussed with you.

How should I prepare for my treatment?

For the week prior to your session, you'll need to stop using any retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids. . Discontinue the use of any topical prescription medications 7 days before treatment.  For example, Retin-A, Trilumen, Differin, etc.

You may not be a candidate if you are taking certain oral medications like steroids or Accutane.

Pregnant or women who are nursing should not be treated. Self-tanner should not be used 2 weeks prior

** Chemical Peels cannot be performed on tanned or sun-burned skin**

A proper home care regimen including sunscreen should be implemented every day to ensure a more effective treatment.
